My mission is to help children and adults reach their full potentials with respect to communication and swallowing.  I have expertise in cognitive-communication disorders and extensive experince with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), as well as neurcognitve disorders in children and adults (autism, AD(H)D, dementia, etc.).  My goal is to provide the best possible evidence-based therapy "Taylor-Made" to each individual. 

I am passionate about my profession, and I bring 15 years of experience in hospitals, nursing homes, educational settings, and a previous private practice to this practice. I have a particular passion for young people who have suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and others with acquired brain injuries (strokes), because I suffered a traumatic brain injury as a teenager and I don’t want others to have to go through what I went through.

‍    I love the diversity of languages languages and cultures in the world, and in the DC area.  I speak Spanish fluently and am conversant in Russian, German and Japanese. My master's degree in speech-language pathology incorporated a specialization in the cognitive-linguistic development of bilingual and multilingual persons across the lifespan.
